TAAHP Committees

TAAHP has create several working groups and committees for the benefit of the affordable housing industry and to create/generate and answer questions to ultimately help promote more housing needs.

 

Annual Conference

The Annual Conference Committee is responsible for recommending all matters relating to the TAAHP Annual Conference to the Board of Directors for their approval. Responsibilities include venue, budgeting, sponsorship solicitation, programming, educational components, speakers, conference theme, and evaluations of prior year conference. The Annual Conference committee is also responsible for nominating an Annual Conference Chair for approval by the Board of Directors. This committee is the working group for putting on the Annual Conference and may appoint additional members as needed to be on the subject Conference Committee.

 

Education

The Education Committee identifies educational opportunities required by the industry for delivery to TAAHP Members and other housing industry professionals. The focus of the committee is not only to create educational seminars but also to review and approve any education opportunities presented to TAAHP.

 

Marketing/PR

The Marketing, Communications and PR committee is responsible for evaluating all member communications, newsletters, press releases, etc. Marketing is done in coordination with the Membership Development Committee and the Annual Conference Committee to ensure consistency in message.

 

Membership Development

The Membership Development Committee considers strategies, promotions, and required budgets necessary to promote membership growth in TAAHP.

 

Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations (PR)

The Marketing, Communications and PR committee is responsible for evaluating all member communications, newsletters, etc. Marketing is done in coordination with the Membership Development Committee and the Annual Conference Committee.

 


 

Governmental Affairs

 

Compliance Rules

The Compliance Rules Sub-committee reviews current TDHCA and HUD compliance rules and provide feedback to the agencies in order to improve the process for owners, managers and residents. This sub-committee will get input from the TAAHP membership as to the "hot topics" and create real world recommendations endorsed by TAAHP.

 

Real Estate Analysis, Underwriting Rules

The Real Estate Analysis and Underwriting Rules sub-committee reviews current TDHCA underwriting rules and create recommendations with input from TAAHP membership to propose to the agency as TAAHP positions.

 

Market Analysis, Appraisal Rules, Environmental Assessment Rules, Property Assessment Rules, Reserve for Replacement Rules

The Market Analysis sub-committee reviews current TDHCA rules and create recommendations with input from TAAHP membership to propose to the agency as TAAHP positions.

 

QAP/ARRA-Policy Scoring Threshold

The QAP/ARRA Policy Scoring Threshold sub-committee reviews current and proposed TDHCA rules and create recommendations with input from TAAHP membership to propose to the agency as TAAHP positions.

 

QAP/ARRA -Technical Items

The QAP/ARRA -Technical Items sub-committee reviews current and proposed TDHCA rules and create recommendations with input from TAAHP membership to propose to the agency as TAAHP positions.
